Landscape Architecture involves integration of the nature of the site and the requirements of those who use it. WJA realizes that the design must arrive at an often complex balance between user needs for outdoor space, circulation, recreation, views, safety, and overall beauty and the requirements of the site that include the preservation of existing natural systems such as soil, vegetation, and wildlife. WJA’s landscape architects work with in-house architects and civil engineers to achieve an integrated design solution for the site.

Landscape architecture at WJA begins with the development of a functional, attractive site plan that fuses hardscape and planting potential. The end result is an aesthetically pleasing environment that is integrated with the practical concerns of the built environment and its infrastructure.

At WJA, landscape architects have experience in sustainable design that has involved water saving measures such as rainwater collection, drought tolerant planting design, and drip irrigation.
